About Katie Rittenberry

Katie pulls inspiration from a variety of sources and styles and is able to accomplish extraordinary results with her keen eye and vivid imagination. She designs interiors ranging from strictly traditional to staunchly modern — and everything in between.

With an appreciation for bold colors, unexpected applications of patterns and details, and the ability to unify old with new, Katie creates unique spaces that reflect each client’s personal style in a fresh way.

A graduate from the University of Virginia in 1995 with a BA in English and Art History, she went on to earn a second degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 2003.

Katie worked with renowned designer Alexa Hampton for five years as a Project Manager, and they created a pilot for HGTV in 2010.

Katie launched Rittenberry Designs in 2008 and has been creating beautiful spaces in New York, Connecticut, Virginia, and Tennessee ever since.

In 2012, she was selected one of athome magazine’s finalists for its A-List Awards. She has been published in athome, Serendipity and New England Home magazines.

The combination of her southern heritage and years spent living and working in Manhattan has provided Katie with both the grace to handle challenging situations and the grit to get the job done.

Katie thrives on her ability to meet her client’s needs and surpass their expectations. Her design aesthetic can be neatly summed up by Albert Hadley’s wise directive: “Give them what they never knew they wanted!”
